Athlon II X3 450 has 512K of L2 cache and operates at 3.2 GHz. AMD is building the Athlon II X3 450 on a 45 nm production process using 300 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Athlon II X3 450 which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 95 W the Athlon II X3 450 consumes a good deal of power so decent cooling is needed. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory with adual-channel interface. For communication with other components in the system Athlon II X3 450 uses a PCI-Express Gen 2 connection. This processor does not have integrated graphics you will need a separate graphics card. Hardware virtualization is available on the Athlon II X3 450 which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
