Like almost all aftermarket polyurethane lip kits, YES, you will need to drill holes. 3M Industrial Double-sided Tape and hardware included. Easy installation with basic hand-tools. GENERAL POLYURETHANE BUMPER LIP / SPOILER INSTALLATION GUIDE for your reference only: Pre-fit all pieces to the vehicle prior to installation!! We highly recommend using masking tape anywhere the aero kit may be touching the vehicle body to prevent scratches during the pre-fit. Do any sanding, filing, or spacing necessary (before painting) for a clean tight fit. Spending the extra time now will assure you of a perfect installation. Clean the whole bumper lip with soap. Using the clean duster cloth to wipe up the surface of the product with thinner, then, use the duster cloth to wipe up the product again. Sand down the inner edges of the bumper lip with sand paper where you would apply the 3M double-sided tape, then, rinse it again. Without proper cleaning and sanding, 3M double-sided tape will not stick. The inner surface of the bumper lip has to be CLEAN and DRY for the tape to properly adhere. A residual-free cleaner is recommended to prepare the surface. The surface of the vehicle should also be prepped and cleaned for proper adhesion. For BEST results after cleaning, use of an adhesion promoter such as 3M? should be applied to wherever tape will be used. After the bumper lip is mounted on the bumper with the double-sided tape, heat up the whole lip with a heat gun or hair blow dryer. Not only because the heat will soften the polyurethane material and make the bumper lip mold to the shape of the bumper even better, it will also help the double-sided tape bound better. Repeat heating process a few times to make sure the fitment is at its best. At last, use two self-tapping screws on each side of the bumper by the wheel walls to extra secure the bumper lip on to the bumper. Done! Enjoy your new bumper lip kit. |
